The Padang Logo meaning and background.
Hut - Traditionally the hut was a small house that was built with thatching. It had a grass roof and mud floor. It is our shelter protecting us, our children, and our livestock from rain.
Flags - The logo has two flags. The South Sudan flag represents our heritage and symbolizes the immigration route to the United States. The American Flag is a symbol identifying where the Padang Communities aspires to create and function as an active non-profit organization.
Grain - The cultivation of grain, and the life of agriculture, has deep historical significance regarding purposeful use of land and the harvested food.
Hand shaking - The hand shake is a symbol of unity amognst people. It indicates that the Padang community will work hand in hand to face life's challenges today, and in the future. It is a very strong way showing solidarity that promotes peace and unity. It is the fundamental foundation to build and foster peace among peoples of different origins, cultures, geographical areas, and political parties.
